Wi-Fi Signal Booster

I have wi-fi enabled but the signal fluctuates wildly from room to room.
We run a lap top and desk top,often together from our signal.

Is it easy to install a signal booster and ,if so has anyone got a recommendation?

Make your own cantenna. Drill a hole in the bottom of a Pringles tube and stick the wifi aerial through it. Point the Pringles tube in the direction you want the signal boosted. The Pringles tube is foil lined and will help to concentrate the signal in one direction.

N Type wifi is much better at getting aroundthrough walls than earlier types, but may need a change of router. Failing that, an Access Point, which is basically a signal extender would help extend your signal to further areas of the house.
