Ordered a new handrail last week 2 x 2.4m and 3 fixing brackets plus other stuff , got text saying delivery between 8am and noon today , got my mother to wait in for me as I was going to be out till 11ish , just got in when the delivery arrived and all the driver had was the brackets for the handrail

The only reason I ordered it was because when I went into their store to buy stuff that they had in stock
according to the stock checker on the website the materials were actually not in stock .

Now according to Wickes the delivery went out and according to the carrier it did not go out ,best of it is I think the handrail is now in stock at the local store

They did the same with us, ordered some cheap doors and fittings for sat del, they called saying they couldnt del the doors but "were willing" to drop the fitments.

Never shopped with them again, still didnt get a refund

Wickes!!! I went yesterday, 10 little washers, t.e.n little washers...........£1.84.

They are not cheap and the staff are morons but they do have more serious diy stuff than you can get at most B&Qs or homebase now.

Handrail is about £60 in Wikes and most stores but £8 in Buildbase.
