Wicking

All i normally wear this time of year is a t shirt and cycle jacket, but ive been told that i will be better off with a proper wicking shirt. I admit the t shirt does get wet and then cools down badly.

Any advice and recomendations.

On cooler days like today I wear a sleeveless compression top, very similar to the ones now being sold Aldi.

Definitely get yourself some high wicking tops. I do the same and just wear one or two wicking tops under a cycling jacket. I pick up inexpensive tops from Mountain Warehouse and Sports Direct. They may not be the highest quality, but I treat them as a consumable anyways. I try to size them so they're reasonably close fitting to help the wick effect. Stuff like this:

Merino wool stuff is great for the winter, I've not used them in the summer but I've also heard it's good.

Theyre really good at getting the sweat evaporating away, if you wear a jacket over the top thatll get sweatier though and need washing more. Whites also a good choice if its really hot so you dont get salty marks when you arrive at a pub/shop

Tested it out this morning and it seems to do the job, only wore a tenn-outdoors cycling jersey on top of it

Went for the Sports direct Karrimor ones in the end.

Bought 1 long sleeve and 1 short sleeve, £14 for both so nice and cheap.

Fit ok as well.
