Wide Opening Calipers?

I want to fit some 28mm Gatorskins on my Spesh Allez for Winter and whilst it looks like the frame could take them I am certain that the caliper wont open wide enough to allow me to remove the front wheel for going in the back of the car.
Is there such a thing as wider opening caliper that I could fit to allow me to do this?

Let the tyres down remove , and reinflate at other side ? Lol

I did think of letting the tyre down but being a lazy sod thought it was a bit of a faff ( and the danger of forgetting the pump ) but might be the only way.

Just in case. Remember, on some Campagnolo brakes, the release cam is built into the levers. Took me some time to realise!
