Hi Guys,

I want to use my old Fulcrum Racing 7 rims on my off road commuter.

Anybody know if you can safely fit (say) 35 mm nobbly 700c tyres on them ? and if you can't, how large can I go ?

Cheers

you could run a 35mm tyre quite happily. Cyclocrossers use normal width rims and run tyres up to 35 mm without any problems.

do you want to go wider than that?

Excellent !

My commute includes a shortish section over a gravel track and then quite a long bit on the very poorly maintained concrete paving of the humber bank...

I reckon 35mm tyres will do nicely..

Thanks for the quick response
