Wienmann Vanqueure Centre pull

I intend to strip down the Wienmann Vanqueure centre pull brakes on my vintage road bike in order to clean and polish them, but it looks as if the springs will be a bit awkward to refit. Can anyone tell me if this is so and if so advise me on the easiest method to do the job.

Don’t ever remember any problems from BITD. Flat headed screwdriver needed .

From memory ... They are indeed "a bit awkward" but not "utterly impossible needs a special tool" awkward. Just a bit of swearing required.

I was having trouble with the springs. (my fingers are not what they were). Now I need to do it all over again to get the red stuff off
