I use "today's featured article" on the home page as the start point.
"2013 Rosario gas explosion" to philosophy in 7 clicks
Also works for the 3 previous featured articles "Henry I of England", "Cleveland Bay" ( a breed of horse) and "Iritaba" (a Mohave leader)

Any article to Hitler in 5 clicks is more of a challenge, rather than just clicking mechanically.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Fun fact. Starting from any Wikipedia article, repeatedly following the first link will always bring you to philosophy.
"Feminism"

It's a loop with 2 elements (or at least it was yesterday afternoon).

This is actually quite an interesting fact - (a) because it tells you something about the way that wikipedia articles are structured, and (B) because it confirms that our Anglo Saxon pragmatic view of the world is perhaps a bit more limited than a more Continental theoretical view.

Funny anecdote - a friend was in a meeting with some French people. Eventually they hammered out some trivial point. "Fine," said one if the French people, "you've shown that it will work in practice,, but what about in theory?'

Thinking about it a bit more....

It also shows how our view of the world is structured. We see things philosophically - from the inside out, rather than scientifically - from the outside in. Our view of the world is irredeemably linked to the way our minds work, which is egocentric at root.

How sadly redundant does Wikipedia make the old printed Encyclopedia Britannica! On the sheer weight alone, a full set of the books weighs around 60 kilos! The last edition was printed in 2010 and that's the end of it. Even with the old printed version I bet one single page would have taken a typesetter many hours to set; a bible took a week per page!

What happened to all the salesmen then? Were they pickled and dumped in large jars in a dusty vault?

No, they retrained as PPI salesmen and now they're processing compensation claims for trips, slips and whiplash injuries.
