Sounds like he's determined to go out in style though!

I LOVE watching Wilko onstage; once he goes off on a manic run, my soul is filled with happiness. He brings a real aura to his virtuoso performances and it's great watching Norman Watt-Roy wrestling his bass next to him. He's played in our humble town about ten times and I saw him six times and look forward to his appearances whenever they're announced. This is such sad news.

I am so sad to hear this. Wilko is still one of the best live acts about and I hope I get to see him again.
I was in the audience on Feelgood's Stupidity album and also saw him several times with the Brilliant Blockheads and of course with The Wilko Johnson Band.
Superb guitarist, his style gives the sound of three guitars at once.
This will be three Blockheads lost to this awful disease. So,so sad!.

Here is a lesson from the Master himself.

I work with Wilko so it's very upsetting news.

Difficult as it maybe ianrauk, maybe if you get chance, let him know how grateful we are for him changing the course of British music and putting an end to all those god awful 40 minute plus guitar solos that were the craze in the mid 70's and the energy he put back into live music.

Sad news when it came out the other day. Can't say I blame him saying no to the chemo and radiotherapy if its just going to prolong an existence rather than give him a life.
