Will I look like a kn*b?

Posted here as it is more a query about taste than technical.

I have fitted flat bars to my road bike complete with bar ends, MTB shifters and brake levers. I have to say seeing my Ribble with this on the front is quite pain inducing.

I'm considering purchasing Aero bars (with out the extensions) with Aero brake levers.

Query is, as I'm not a time trialler, will I look like a complete bell*nd with this on the bike?

NB. original reason for flat bars is I have an old neck/shoulder injury that doesn't cope well with drop bars.

Come on guys be honest.....

Yes !

Flat bars on road bike = sort of acceptable. Aero bars on drop bars when not TT'ing - why ? Flat bars and aero bars - WTF !
Sorry, might be giving the wrong info. By Aero bars I mean these:

What would be the best shifters to use with this? I would still like to avoid downtube shifters.

You can get a pair of aero bars for £1 in my local Iceland, but they look like this:

That's quite an amusing post in a sad schoolboy sort of way.

To the OP, don't bother with handle bars at all, get fixxy and ride no handed.
