Slightly OT...
Radiation symbols on your vehicle are an excellent way of getting more room on the road!
Our drivers have far fewer problems when driving with the symbols on than on the same roads without them
Agreed. Motorists who don't dip their lights are a pain. As for the rest - the problem with internet forums is how easy it is to misunderstand another poster, so if I wasn't clear enough, then sorry about that.

I am not aware of a maximum limit on car headlights. Some exceed 3000 lumens. And cars have 2 of them.
Yea I know what you mean, some new cars have stupidly bright lights, the Range Rover comes to mind, their headlights are as bright as some cars fog lights...
I have just got 2 900 lumen lights for £17 each (the benefit of having friends in that trade), they are very bright on maximum, but on setting 1 or 2 I could comfortably ride home. The way I have always looked at it, you will be more likely to be stopped by the police for not having lights than ones too bright or ones that flash.
