As i have posted in prev threads I am relatively new to cycling and I am at a loss to understand what is happening to me.
After over 20 years of running and playing cricket, always making do with good gear but not going over the top ,now I have found cycling, I find myself pouring over mags (the Rose one in particular ) and bike reviews , credit card at by my finger tips and ready to push the button.
My first foray was a hybrid bike 6 mths ago then a cyclo cross 2 months ago , now i find myself hankering over a road bike ! Does this end ? I have a perfectly good Giant TXC 2 so why do I want a Defy or a Cannondale caadx or a Rose .or a ...............?
Please some one help me and talk some sense into me.
PS I am over 50 so surely I should now better ?

The Glue that binds us together.
You will still have a fixie to go:whistle:

Credit cards are the worst. Especially when there is 10% off everything over £99 at Wiggle just now. That set of tubular carbon rims at £1000 seem much more appealing when i get £100 off them. My bank even sent me a letter recently doubling my credit card limit. Erm trying to tell me something guys??

There is no known cure.
I have a road bike, flat-bar tourer, Brommie, 2 MTBs (one in bits), a fixie, a crap folder, a hub geared pub bike with a pringled back wheel, a Kirk frame waiting to be built up, another MTB I've only just remembered, the bits to make a FWD 'bent once I have a spare weekend and I can't remember the last time the car could fit in the garage. It may have actually been the car before the one before the one before last that fitted in. Possibly.
And I need a 'bent trike. And a penny-farthing.
We're all doomed. Doomed, I tell you.
*weeps*
