this morning,saw the rain at 4.30am and decided to go by car.
Pouring down again this afternoon so would have got double soaking,only 3rd or 4th time i've not gone on bike since April so not being too hard on myself,will do rest of week deffo.

Yep - I have been soaked this morning and this evening... and my hair is still damp now over an hour after getting back in the house from this afternoon's downpour that literally started as I went to cycle home!!!

walked out the house at 7am in full wind gear as it was windy when i looked outside, took one step and turned around straight away as it started to piss it down, got changed into my water proof's and had a nice ride into work

Well it's 4.30 out of bed tbh 4.45 out the door
We were being told today who was being made redundant as well so motivation wasn't all it could be,fortunately my job safe for now but it's tough watching people you've worked with for years leaving in tears
Will most likely be on more sociable hours now as well 8-4.30.

Didn't get the chance this morning, yesterday we were told we are now on short time. Not due in till Thursday, lay there this morning listening to the rain bouncing of the window thinking s*** I wanted to get some miles in this morning.

I'm sat looking at the rain now wondering whether it will clear or whether I should just head out into it. It was touch and go whether I'd take this morning but the bike was definitely the right choice. The traffic was the worst I'd ever seen it and I got to sail past it all.

I wimped out today too. Decided this is my rest day. Kind of glad I took the car as there is an awful lot of surface water and massive puddles partially flooding some of the roads. I'm going to punish myself by going on the running machine instead!

Decided my waterproof overtrousers are not really that waterproof today. Any suggestions?

First time in the rain for me, got the bike ready and it was fine drizzle then stopped but i knew it would pee it down, too warm to wear waterproofs so went out in shorts and s/s jersery.

Feet were soaked but not to bad other wise, put the mudguards on tonight though

When I set off it was not raining, but 2 mins later it was !

My usual hour commute took an extra 10 mins. Cold and Windy and rainy ! but glad when I got there and I had done it.

But went to the laundrette at luch to tumble dry all the lycra but the bloody thing had closed down !

Soggy shorts for me !

Found out my waterproofs are not waterproof anymore today ! I should have just worn my jacket and leave the leggings at home.Lucky to be able to dry everything at work in front of a fan heater though but boy did they smell musty

I am ashamed to admit that I woke up to rain a 6am, simply swiped at the alarm clock and slept an extra hour. I drove to work

Tomorrow! Tomorrow never comes...
