Me too, it's the easterlies that I hate the most - and there's not much in it between N Russia, Finland, Siberia, the Arctic, etc: they're all out to get you. Easterlies seem to carry some kind of misty corrosive damp inside the cold wind that goes straight to the bone and stays there like an infection. Northerlies seem colder but they're usually drier and with clearer skies so they're more bearable. North westerlies aren't wonderful but the showers they bring don't usually last.

Bring back those prevailing winds!
