I love the G.E. flight simulator. Landing my F16 fighter jet on Southend Pier is always a bit of a challenge, and flying through the Alps is good fun too - through all the valleys etc. At Heathrow, you can park your plane IN Terminal 5 which is a little weird! I'll have a play with the Madeira turbines- the two in Swaffham aren't quite such a challenge!
Unfortunately yes - and it is very very addictive.
For me, at it's best is low level flying through the Scottish Glens, I know the hghlands really well with all my hillwalking, so to be able to fly a high speed jet through these areas is just amazing.

But it doesn't end there - learning to land on airport ruways is quite a challenge, and when you eventually learn to land you can start to test yourself at the more interesting airports, like for instance, Isle of Gomera in the Canaries or even Funchal on Madeia.

And then there's all the navigation stuff, for instance finding and landing on small islands a few thousand miles away. Setting the plane into cruise control on the correct bearing, working out distance, bearings and times, reajusting to correct errors mid flight and the satisfaction of when the island comes into view.

Hours of fun - far better than working!
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be supported by Android, so I'll have to download GE on the pc. Can't wait to have a play:biggrin:

Luckily I can't install G.E. on my work computer! With the fighter plane, have a go at some easy places to land at first like Manston, Kent (Schipol is also good- lots of runways and all very long), then try a few shorter ones- Isle of Man, Calais, for example - and London City - you can fly under the Q.E. bridge on approach from the east!

Now all they need to do is link up everyone flying thier F16's and you can have dogfights.
