am i being dumb?

Got a new sony vaio all in one desktop


all the windows live facilities will happily start in my admin user, but in my other users i get no response

any advice?

What do you mean by " all the windows live facilities will happily start in my admin user, but in my other users i get no response " - is this when you try and run them, or when you try and login to Windows Live?

By "admin user", do you have a seperate windows desktop \ login for this user, or do you use 'Run as administrator'?

Do you get any messages or errors when you try?

Oh, what operating system are you using, XP, Vista, Windows 7?

Any specific Windows Live service that you notice the problem with?

Clicking "windows live mail" on the start menu, produces no response in my normal user, not even an error message, ditto all the other winows live options, but in Admin, evertyhing works

Widows 7 btw

I have found a thread with similar symptoms - suggests that Windows Live Mail may be corrupted and you need to remove it BUT, you will need to remove Live Mail in a particular way before re-installing.

Take a look at the green box at the bottom of this page it has the links to the desired sections, but basically, use Uninstall Program as normal first, then you will need to delete some keys in the registry, but there are full instructions.

Then you should be able to reinstall fine...
