This morning I was getting ready to cycle to work and looked at my car keys and how warm my family looked. I was tempted to get dressed for work and drive. Thankfully I didn't, the wind added about 20 minutes to my commute, and my hands were too cold to use my keys properly when I arrived, but I did so with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
I only hope now that the wind stays in the same direction and gives me some help home, but at least I did it. I know there are many of you on here that always cycle regardless of the weather, but there are some like me (I presume) who can get tempted by the luxury of a fully air conditioned, heated seat, dry, stable car. Just wanted to say it feels good when you dont give in to temptation, and survive.

Well done James.
It's very tough to get out there when the weather is awful.

By the time you get to the warmer/sunny times downpours are like have a lukewarm shower on the move, welcome when your getting a little hot.

There is that to it. The first half is ok, bet very wet, but stay warm. The second half is when I hit Bristol and have to stop at every traffic light, start to feel the cold then.

Well my smugness was short lived. That was amusing getting home Friday night, next time I will take the car, far more stable  lol. I did enjoy the cycle this morning though, almost enjoyable, not wet, less windy.
