I can sink with style so avoid swimming but when the weather gets worse and i'm not on my bike then to shed those extra pounds and get a great sweat on i don't think you can beat the rowing machine.Combining this with my daily commute i've lost 3 1/2 stone in 5 months and last winter just rowing 30 minutes a day allowed me a very merry xmas without the santa spread after .

I personally find gyms slightly less interesting than watching paint dry. To have to pay for the experience is amusing to say the least. That being said i have the winter bike at the ready kitted out with lights for night riding also. For those days where the weather really makes bike riding impossible then i have a turbo trainer.
Can sometimes mix it up and throw some running in there for a change of pace.
The point being though, The Brewer, is do what suits your life best. No matter what, never commit to a fitness plan that you really don't enjoy.
