It would just depress me too much to watch, but I get the general jist of the film anyway.

Canada favourites as always, the Russians never do well at home, Sweden are the in-the-know choice, and Switzerland the dark-horse. USA? Have they ever done well at the Olympics? Other than the glaring exception?

Not sure the Canucks should be the red hot favourites - at this stage; Russians have home ice advantage but accept they also have huge pressure on them, they also have, arguably, the worlds best player; US only lost in Vancouver in overtime - could have gone the other way easily. Very happy it didn't!

Saw a piece on the news where they were talking to some Russians who couldn't get tickets for the opening ceremony because the cheapest were $1000! Looks like they have already shot themselves in the foot, the stadium looks empty, at least the lower tier is which will be the expensive seats. Same thing happens at all Olympic venues. Wise up people, charge a low price and fill the stadium.
Heard Clare Balding going through the British medal contenders, Andrew Musgrave didn't get a mention, why am I not surprised.
