Jeanette Kwakye asked the two so called experts' 'what does it mean by 3'.
Their answer was '3 players'. Meaning rather mysteriously that, in their eyes, the goalie is not a player.

Extremely short highlights of the bronze medal match then showed it was actually to be 4 a side and with sudden death.
The whole BBC coverage has been plagued with Carlton Kirby style 'wow, wow, wow' commentary, though in Kirbys defence, Kirby does often explain.

Steve Cram though did a decent enough job on the Curling

Cram did do well. But the nature of curling does allow time for more explanation.

I can’t get on with the twisty flippy jumpy stuff. It all happens so fast in a whirl of limbs and skis, that it’s impossible to tell what’s good, other than when they crash. And the commentators have no time to explain either, so just shout and scream.

I remember a short lived experiment where a TV company (Fox I think) tried putting a virtual trail on the puck. It got ripped to bits for being gimmicky.

It's one of those games where once you've watched a lot of it, you kind of pick up on where the puck is intuitively, but even that is tricky!

I suspect, though Ive never spectated a hockey game in person, that it makes alot more sense being there and you can follow the puck, its just the translation to even ultra hd 4k television still cant quite give you that movement vector you need.

but its like baseball or cricket, which I have watched in person, you can still see the ball even when its travelling a 90mph
