....and a lunar eclipse at 06:33 although as I type the moon is behind clouds.
I'm pssed off I didn't hear anything on the news last night along the lines of "look out for the lunar eclipse".

I would've made an effort to see it...

We didn't see anything, although we were awake looking out for it. The cloud cover stopped us seeing it - damn, damn and more damn!

It was mentioned on PM on radio 4...

I was up anyway, walking to work. Although I'm fairly certain that was at 7.33, not 6.33. It was just as totality occurred that I was able to spot it, very low in the sky behind some trees.

I was riding (!) to work, the first shadow came at 6-25, there was a flat top left hand corner by 6-45 and it sank into a bank of cloud above the skyline before 7-00. And it was -10C AGAIN.

Speaking of Winter Solstice...i was chatting with a Pagan when i was serving food at a homeless centre....interesting religion...plenty of traditions nicked from Paganism and adopted by Christianity...yule log, mistletoe and the timing of Christmas day, to name but a few.

Loved the volunteering too...never a dull moment at the homeless centre...fights, death threats, druggies. I was well out of my comfort zone!
The place is f'kin buzzin...and I'm volunteering for the Salvation Army next week!

Davyo worked in a homeless centre last year.

Good stuff you two.

I'll get off my arse next year and try to get the generosity of heart to do something similar.
