Winter Tyres - 23 or 25?

The Krylions have been replaced by the Pro 4 Endurance.
The 23s are more like 22, but the 25s are bigger than nominal, maybe more like a 26, so as SD says more likely to rub on mudguards.
You might notice a difference in comfort but nothing significant.

treaded tyres will make no difference on ice. You need spikes.
And yes, I run slicks all year round.

But do you still ride when snow and ice are about or do you bail out and use other transport methods??

I've got gatorskin 25s on mine now and they are bit more comfortable than the Vittoria 23s I had before. I can't see there will be much difference in resistance. I'd have thought a new pair of 25s will have less contact witht the road (so less resistance) than a well worn pair of 23s.
