Tyre size, the facts:
a) At the same pressure, a fatter tyre of the same type rolls better than a narrow one, so GP4S 28 @ 100psi is faster than a GP4s 23 @ 100psi

But the point is you don't run fatter tyres at the same pressures, so if 100psi is good for 23mm
and your weight, you should be running 28mm tyres around 70psi. I've no truck with the idea
though true of running bigger tyres for lower rolling when you you can run them at lower
pressures where they are more comfortable, and your peeing on their ability to be
much better on poor roads just to be a little faster on good roads, poor choice.

Your also giving up the extra grip of wider tyres that is available, wanted in winter.
