Winter tyres

The Kona is now prepared for the morning. I'll be riding it over the Felt regardless now I've put lights on and everything.

Likewise. Even when it is baltic there is only a 20m stretch of road that may have ice on it on my way to work.

Studs went onto my hybrid (the winter bike) this morning. I bought them last winter and it's the first time they've been used. Noisy but the new Schwalbe Winters (30mm) are much less draggy than my old Snow Studs (38mm).

Wasn't as cold this morning as it was last night, so didn't need the winter tyres after all, but better safe than sorry, and I'll be needing them sooner or later so they're on now til the spring.

Absolutely! I was shocked to notice the roads had been gritted when I was riding home this morning. There was me in shorts and a light fleece (and this is oop north in Manchester where it does get cold ), was dripping with sweat by the time I got home.
