Winter tyres

After having a big scare on Sunday I think its time to look at winter tyres. I'm running 700 x 23 but I'm not sure what I should be looking at to buy.

I use gps 4 seasons, I feel they are the best all round tyre

I've found Schwalbe Durano Plusses good - decent amount of grip and good resistance to flats. The original Marathons are good too, though the smallest they come in is 25 mm, so you may not have enough clearance to fit them.

GP 4 seasons, am loving them, have run Ultremos all year , went over to 4 seasons a couple of weeks ago, they feel really good.

I've just put 25mm gp 4 seasons on my winter bike. I've only been out once on them for a couple of hours but found them very comfy.
