I am currently riding with the original Kenda 700 x23 tyres as supplied but would like some advice on whether I should change these for the coming winter months. Riding is rural Cornwall so not a lot of glass but thorns, when the hedge trimming season starts shortly, and wet leaves.

No, I wouldn't bother. I would just make sure I didn't stray onto the middles or the sides of the roads where car tyres hadn't scoured the tarmac clean.

(Hedge trimming is finished up here in Lancs, our farmers don't sit around eating pasties and scones with clotted cream all day.)

I would wait until they started to attract over frequent punctures before spending any money changing them. I doubt this will take very long with kenda tyres not the best if I recall.
