Hi
Done a fair few networks now and gone through a few USB Adaptors.

Anyway a freind bought one and I installed the software all ok and set up the Network.
Anyway a day later it's connected but it keeps refreshing the network and won't connect to the internet.

Any ideas ??

When I tried using the Windows Network utility instead of the software which came all it did is search for the network constantly .

Try using a lower channel. Some USB dongles can be a bit finiky about high channels.

On the router
Check for MAC access filtering. Switch off all security and test. Switch off the firewall and test. Is the DCHP on the router active and doling out IP addresses? Try static addressing. Is there a record of the device in the router log. If so delete the device from the list. Reset the router back to default. Its just a matter of elimination.

On the device, check the network connection does not have a static address or a Proxy / DNS setting. Firewall switch off.

Let us know how you get on
