Hey Fabbers, although cycling is probably the last thing on your mind at this moment are you doing the overnight Oxford - London on the 8/9 Oct?

Probably not as it's my lad's Birthday weekend.
I might come down to the start though and ride the first hour just to meet some new and old faces. Let you know nearer the time.
It's a great ride with a fab bunch of people, you'll have a blast

@4F First pee was bearable, but less comfortable now since I've moved from the sofa

Glad it went well, I was "done" a couple of years ago and was fighting fit within days. I did get some bruising and I assume that what's meant when someone has been "black balled".

Anyway the most uncomfortable thing was if I forgot about it and hopped of a 2 ft drop or took the last 2 steps of a staircase in one go etc.

What amused me though was that my surgeon was a Mr Hampton.

Did they insist on you wearing a surgical support? .....as far as I could tell it does absolutely nothing useful, other than providing the rest of your family with amusement for hours!

No they didn't. just said tight pants which I'm wearing under tight lycra (non-padded) shorts.
Comfort OK thus far!

Wounds a bit leaky, guess being on Aspirin and Fish oils doesn't help in these circumstances. No stitches.

In my family, the snip is known as the "knee operation" as that was the explanation my dad gave to me when I asked why he was in hospital.
