Indeed, my dad has been filling up recently. Sainsburys and Tesco seems to be the cheapest.
Don't know.. what with the new Morissons promotion.
"Spend £60 on shopping and get a voucher for 12p/lt off fuel"
:stop:
Think about this.
They spend a fortune on new pumps. Pumps that speed up the fuel dispensing process because you can pay by card at the pump. Flowthrough of cars and drivers is improved because drivers no longer have to go and queue for that one till in the forecourt shop.
.
Then...
.
They start a voucher promotion that means you have to go into the forecourt shop, because you can't redeem the voucher at the pump.
This a.m. you couldn't get to our local Morissons. The access road to the supermarket was blocked by the overflowing queues into the service station. The garage over the road had one or two cars at the pumps....

Never look at the price of fuel , i might drive the car once a week at most otherwise its used only by SWMBO as the mum taxi.

Same here now. Only the missus knows petrol prices but her car will do about 45 mpg on her run. Mine is woefull, but is only used at weekends and some quick dad taxi duties.

same here too. I only used the 4x4 on friday evening as I know how tired the 4 yr old is after swimming and its too risky trying to get him to hold onto handlebar on the trailgator while i ride the half mile home at 8.30pm. she had gone away to sussex for a spa break with the girlies in hers which will do in excess of 50mpg even around town.

i think diesel is about 135.9 at the Jet just by us.
