I was watching BBC Breakfast this morning, and they covered that dreadful shipwreck in Australia:

Awful footage of the boat being smashed about in the waves and people in the sea.

They had an audio report from an eye witness, which they played over a loop of video, which included stills and video, and which was clearly taken from an Oz television news channel, as it had scrolling headlines across the bottom.

One of them scrolled across and read "Melbourne woman jailed for having sex with..."

And then the loop cut back to the beginning again.

Sex with what?

Given the thread title I was thinking that you were asking what they covered the shipwreck with. Water? Sand?, a giant blanket?

Dissapointed to find it was just a sex question.

Oh how dull. I was hoping for 'wombat' or something....

To be serious for a moment, it was one of the few moments I felt they'd done the wrong thing. They could have just shown the footage once, and then had a still photo and caption while the chap spoke, but the same footage played over about 4 times, and it was uncomfortable viewing.
