It's not looking good for next week is it.

Hoping the roads are dry, but will keep an eye on it over the next two days.
Ranging from -3 to -7 for the next 5 days according to the beeb:cold:
Need to buy and fit some new pads to the hybrid, and don't fancy the road bike in that sort of temperature.Hopefully it's just the usual bbc exageration.

Well, it's -4 here with lots of ice about. Best temp in the daytime is expected to be +1, so that's not going to make much impression.

Totally agree about not taking risks. And the older you get, the less easy it is to recover quickly from an 'off' or to bounce rather than break. This week's weather forecast is the worst for a while around these parts - particularly the ice situation; snow I don't mind, but ice can be lethal. Last winter I had one 'off' on a main road that usually gets gritted. The minor roads and cycle paths were virtually unusable for a week.

I'd rather miss a few commutes and use public transport for a few days - plus by doing so I get to travel home with my daughter for a change, which is a bonus. Soon as the weather clears up, I'll be back on the bike.

I have been off the bike 3 weeks now, after almost 6 months non stop,
must get back on on Monday as I have already put 7 lbs back on !

Although eating 24 Forrero Roche in 1 hour did not help, but they were nice !

These are my absolute favourites too! Ferrero also do a roche type chocolate that they sell in France if you ever go out there! They're called Duplos and they're just as lovely too! They look a bit like the kinder bueno but they have a hazlenut in them and taste exactly like the ferrero roche! YUM! ;)
