Classic - where's my damned ironimeter?Oh for god's sake. Call a chav a chav and a hooligan a hooligan. It is not a class thing. It is an idiot thing.
Ok, If you find the Word " Chav" offensive in any way please accept my apologies. To put it into context though, if the person in question was dressed and resembled a Punk Rocker a Mod or a Goth would I also be wrong to use these descriptions too. Where is this line to be drawn exactly.
My post was just based on some light hearted observations that I witnessed today , thought I share it on here in the hope of making others see what I found to be mildly amusing. I suggest you place me on your ignore list if I have offended you ,as so I will not be able" too " in the future .
All the very best
Johnny.
a hooligan is a hooligan, but chav is associated very much with low social status.
Is that a typical BMW driver? Not around here, okay there are a few but the majority are smartly dressed, they drive almost as bad as Audi drivers, but not seen many with baseball caps, now had it been a Vauxhall Corsa, a Ford Fiesta or a old Honda Civic with a huge exhaust then yes."The BMW driver was your typical chav lookalike, wearing a baseball cap with the peak to one side".
He didn't say it was.Is that a typical BMW driver?
Are you sure you're reading the same thread I replied to?He didn't say it was.
I think so;Are you sure you're reading the same thread I replied to?
Keith quoted Johnny."The BMW driver was your typical chav lookalike, wearing a baseball cap with the peak to one side".
You responded to Keith, who had quoted Johnny and, taking the rest of your post into consideration, appeared to under the impression that what had been said was that a BMW driver is typically a chav.Is that a typical BMW driver?
