Is there?

That's news to me................I think it is obstruction.

Yep - from the DfT..

Visibility of fixed cameras
"Speed camera housings must be coloured yellow. Housings must be visible to road users and not obscured e.g. hidden behind bridges, signs, trees, bushes or other types of obstacles. The minimum visibility distance should be 60 meters where the speed limit is 40 mph or less and 100 meters for all other limits."

Signs
"Camera warning and speed limit reminder signs must be placed in advance of fixed, mobile or time/distance speed enforcement taking place. For fixed sites, signs must be placed within 1 Km of the housing."

Surely this means that the Police / Camera Partnerships are guilty of obstructing themselves?

As with the Forum giving details of undercover vehicles - it needs to be obstruction with both motorists and cyclists if we are to take this seriously

I thought you meant there is a legal requirement for people to warn of speed 'traps'

How would the 'warning' woman feel if she came home to find her back door had been forced open by a burglar, only to find that her neighbour had warned the burglar that a police car was nearby, so the burglar got away with it?

That analogy doesn't really stand up to scrutiny.

The woman in Cambridge was warning cyclists not to commit crimes.

In your example, the woman is allowing a burglar to commit a crime.

I remember back in the early 70's when the Police used to put out cardboard cutouts of Police vehicles on the A1

Very effective in reducing accidents and speed
