I had about £3k worth of Premium Bonds a few years back and I won £50 on 3 consecutive months. With interest rates as low as they are at the moment, I'm thinking of buying some bonds with some spare cash that I currently have in my Halifax account. It certainly beats doing the lottery because you can get your money back later!

You can get your money back if you win the lottery, but you can get your money back even if you don't win on the Premium Bonds!

I don't understand the National Lottery. I've tried following the instructions exactly and selecting 6 numbers, but the bloomin' bingo machine thing keeps choosing different ones to mine!

Yorkshireman comes up trumps on't lottereh. Camelot, being a bit skint at the time says to him "Is it OK if we pay you your 20million in instalments? Let's say 5million a week? Over a 4 week period?".

My sister has just told me that I need to get the Bonds before Tuesday for them to be entered in the March draw so I'll buy them over the weekend. I won't be able to keep them more than a few months unless my income picks up soon, but you've got to be in to win, eh!

I think I read somewhere that the return on Premium Bonds was something like 3% on average. Of course you might get zilch or you might get a cool million.

They don't market Premium Bonds well do they? The ad would be so simple...........

1.5% of the total invested in Premium Bonds is paid out per annum. I was on the NS&I website a few minutes ago reading about them.
