Do you think this could be a publicity campaign by Specialized they have seen all the publicity from the first case then they back down & look like a sympathetic company who listen to cyclists views, so hey lets do it again, or it could be me just being cynical, never considered their bikes anyway, overpriced with low spec compared to others, the only Specialized components I have bought were tubeless tires which de-laminated using Stans fluid.
..... but on balance, the "z" thing still annoys me the most....
Why would anyone get annoyed about an American company spelling its name the way that Americans spell it?

Unless it was late-morning irony, which tbh often sails straight past me....

I wouldn't go that far, but maybe they are thinking they are in a win-win situation - either Epix are forced to change their name or they manage to kick up a fuss giving S******** the chance to apologise and make themselves look like the nice guys. The Cafe Roubaix apology was nothing more than a chance to generate good publicity, if there hadn't been an outcry then nothing would have happened.

(There may be other versions of Speciouslies Epic logo but this is the only one I've found on their site and I can't see any Epic logo on any of their bikes' pictures.)
Personally, I'm not seeing the likeness. Unless they've patented all combinations of italic capital letters....in which case they can go and get ZTUFFED

Sorry to go against the grain but I think Specialized is a superb brand name, it was the only reason why I bought my first proper mountain bike, a Rockhopper in 1989. I had been riding a Raleigh Maverick up to then and when I saw my first Specialized Rockhopper in green with red graphics I was absolutely smitten. The obsession lasted about 20 years until I discovered road riding. We have SIX Specialized bikes in our garage.
