Did a 19.8 a couple of weeks ago. Just need to put in a bit more effort...

Today was a more sedate 17.0, but this is over 2 s.d.'s above my average, and on the much slower route. Found out why when I got to my desk - flags fluttering enthusiastically in the direction almost directly from my house. Oh well, would have been even quicker if it wasn't for the suicidal geese.

I managed a 30mph commute by Musashi but it was only 5 miles.

I live in rural Kent so have no traffic to speak of, 20mph average in Croydon probably makes you faster that most car commuters, well done.

I wish i could say yeah, but i just take a fast route out of croydon with minimal traffic lights. 40mph duel carriage ways helps keep the average up

Thats good going IMO. This Friday could well be my first (and maybe only) commute 86 mile round trip. Done half the distance last weekend to see how it felt, took me 1hr 15 min for the first 21 mile turned round and pedalled back in 1 hr 35 so obviously tired heavily towards the end. Thinking I could get there in 2.45 then home in maybe 2.45 -3 hours.C2C at end of the month so that kind of distance seems like a decent training run.
