another report here. there have been 6 fatal accidents in 20 years at that junction!
Kevin Lane sounds like any one of us, enjoyed cycling and rode to work safely every day, then this happens and he's gone. Very sad.

Im not doubting what you say here.

I rear ended a moped at Aldgate East on 05/02/2013 and fell off in heavy traffic around midnight.Some of my workmates have quite proudly told me that I was cycling too close even though I implied my brakes didn't work at the time.It was low speed anyway and I got a few bruises.Still managed to cycle the last 6 miles home.

It appears she wasn't fined, the £80 was a victim surcharge payment.

I think they're changing that wording to call it a surcharge or something. The victim and their family don't see the money.
