as above done my first 20mph + lunchtime ride then i fell off. there i was going along great guns averaging 20.5mph then a car overtook me and stopped to turn right....... i tried to hop up on the kerb to go round him as i couldn't stop in time and didn't make it up the kerb and landed on the floor doh! loads of gravel rash and a few bent bits :angry:
 
Imagine how fast you could go if you were a full time cyclist.​
That's excellent going that. Crash aside.​

Our entire street has just been cold-planed and resurfaced in lovely smooth black stuff.

I'm a prominent member of our street action group campaigning against motorists speeding through to avoid a traffic light.

The street slopes steeply down at both ends, the northerly end being about a 400 metre straight run.

Last night Gti Junior and I went out on our bikes to test it and I got up to 40.8 mph.

Don't tell anybody!

Hope for your wallets sake, the carbon didnt take a hit ! and seriously, i would check your brake function.:thumbsdown:
