When he was interviewed on The Cycling Podcast after the Tour of Britain he was putting everything into this ride, essentially framing as defining his season

The Junior womens ITT is on a corse 10.7 kms in length, that seems ridiculously short for a World Championship race. Then again UCI are pushing 3 races into 1 day

I wonder whether that's deliberate, as a few of the jnr women may not have ridden TTs much longer than that before. While we imagine it should be longer than e.g. a nat champs because it's the World's, maybe they've shortened it not to destroy girls from Zimbabwe or somewhere that don't even have a TT bike

Ben Wiggins 11th in the Worlds U23 TT today - I'll post it here as well as the Juniors page.

I watched the end of the Men u23 but didn't really have time to comment yesterday.
The two Danes - Mads Landbo in 5th and Kristian Egholm in 6th had both hoped for a shot at a medal I think, they sounded a touch disappointed

I saw a comparison of Remeco's time and speed with the slowest rider in the TT. Slowest was on a road bike and rode at about 32 kmh if I recall.
Remco was a little quicker!

Seen a few "cute" stories about African riders on 20yr old Halfords road bikes (I'm exaggerating, but not by much) with bog standard ventilated road helmets and normal sunglasses and stuff, and then a few more "cute" stories abut 50 yr old amateurs from the Cayman Islands in their first worlds, and the disconnect is startling. They both get described as plucky, and "defying the odds", but one of them is doing it on a state of the art TT bike their salary from some bank on a tax haven bought them...

I see Jnrs TT results only got mentioned in the Jnrs thread, so

GB get a bronze and a top 10 in the women's Jnrs

Vikings get a bronze and a 4th in the men's Jnrs (plus 2 more in the top ten from the Northern Danes there), with a 9th for GB's Atkins

In the mixed TTT, Italy deplyed cheat code Ganna to win, followed by France and Switzerland. All three packing some pretty solid teams

The UCI world team (made up of refugees and stateless citizens) managed to beat both Mexico and Japan, which is nice.

Well Del Toro is 22 (will be 23 in November) and has 33 wins already.

Benjamin Noval rode 12 GTs with a highest placing of 19, and started 8 monuments but only finished two. No wins at all.


His lad might be a bit better though.

Del Toro gets to race Pog's leftovers and gets a gift every now and then, Noval will be competing directly with Seixas

Dunno really, I think Del Toro, just because of the amount he's already banked while being on Pog's team.
