Many years ago I was sheltering from a sudden heavy shower whilst out in the countryside and watched several worms cross the road, now why they would go over instead of under I don't know and it has puzzled me ever since.

Those worm charmers are such drama queens...always harking on about how great they are. Us worm fanciers, however, use subtler means.

there were a couple of earthworms in our living room this morning. Our cat, the dirty dog, brought them in.

worms do come up when its raining, that's why birds tap the ground with their beaks, to imitate rain drops.

that's what I was taught at school. Sounds feasible
