Worried look on BMW driver's face as I tap on the window...

I was passed by a VWM in Bishopsgate a couple of weeks ago. The front near side wheel looked a bit wobbly, but I thought it might just be the hubcap not on straight. When I caught up at the lights, I could see he had bashed the front end and therefore put the whole steering geometry out.
I let him go well ahead incase the wheel came off.

Several years ago I caught up with a car that had the keys in the passengers door lock.

Happens to me all the time...the flood of relief that washes over them as they realise you're not actually a mad homicidal maniac. Why the initial terror? Is it just the difference in height?

I was an peanut to a BMW driver once, I shouted at him after he beeped at me for bumping my foot on his wheel arch as I squeezed through the tiny gap he had left because he was too far to the right of his lane, and he didn't even do anything wrong, really, it was just me being an peanut and being impatient when I should have just waited for the traffic to start moving. That was about 2 years ago and I still feel guilty. I was in a foul mood after a falling-out with my girlfriend, and took it out on an innocent bystander. Oops.

Priceless. Turns to relief when I just tell him his nearside rear tire looks flat as a pancake
That was good of you. Did he already know about it?

You guys should ahve seen the BMW driver the other weekend that beeped me. I was wearing some of those fake tattoo armwarmers, adn the dude was bricking it. He blanked me once, drove through a red light, and overtook traffic and zooted straight on from the right turn lane to avoid talking to me. LOL, I only wanted to ask him nicely, I didn't think he'd done anything wrong!

I'm turning into Mr Niceguycyclist now, did the same this morning for a brake light only to a guy in a flat-bed transit van.

I think they can look worried purely because they know there are a few a***hole cyclists out there who will blow up at the slightest thing (i've seen a couple!).

as i dont commute should i be here?, i have nipped in here for something to read with a cup of tea.
I always try to point things like lights and tyres to people as i fell it enforces a positive view of cyclists, yes we have our gripes and mostly justified too but to be nice costs nothing

I told a black cabbie his indicator was bust.

"Oh, go and tell Ken!"

he said.
