I was going to say that we don't do girls.... but it could be taken the wrong way!

Our Group can't take girls as all the Scout Leaders and Cub Scout Leaders are male

We have steadfastly refused until we can have a female leader at the meetings
How does that sit with POR?

It doesn't, see 3.6 (f) & (g).

But, and I think a big one, the leadership team has to be comfortable with the group they run. I have had 2 girls in my Pack, one of whom has been away on camp with us. I felt comfortable with this since I am lucky enough to have a female ACSL. We are only volunteers at the end of the day, though I'm sure some parents think we get paid!

How many warranted leaders are on CC ?? I have been an Cub leader for five years and also help run Sea Scouts?
Calling @Maggot

Was a warranted leader/assistant leader at 6 other groups as well as my own group for 141/2 years. Weekends would find me as the warden at the locally owned campsite during this time.

But a warranted female leader/Assistant Leader is required. Or was required, which caused problems for many groups.

That requirement was dropped in about 2007.
Yep, I run a Scout Troop. Although maybe I will be running an Explorer Troop soon as we have lots of older Scouts with nowhere for them to go locally. Bit of a debate though, as that would leave the Scouts without a male leader, which doesn't seem quite right. I don't know what you others think?
Should not make a difference along gender lines. I had 6 girls in my pack and took them to several camps with no problem . We are trying to keep the group going as we lost are Scout and Explorer leaders with no help from district.
