Mr Postman watched a repeat of Who wants to be a Millionaire.First aired 2003.The chap had got to £250,000.His next question was for £500,000.Half a million.
the question was How long is the Oscar statue. He phoned a friend, they did not know.He had four choices. So had a 75% chance of failure. He guessed and was wrong. He took home £32,000 not to be sneezed at,but oh dear.I was shouting at the telly.
Would you have guessed.Or taken the £250,000.

I am naturally a cautious person who rarely takes risks with money.
But I can see why someone less risk averse would take the ultimate gamble. After all when will you ever be in that situation again?
Plus you still have £32,000 A’s a very good back stop.

And you'll have started with nothing.

The game's called Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. The object of the game is to win a million pounds. If you don't win a million pounds you have not won. Go for the million or forever be a loser.

Now if the answers were obvious, 1 mile, 0.5 mile, 0.25 mile, or 12 inches I would have probably guessed.
