I usually ask if everything's ok...

I always do. Not just bikes, either. Even if I'm walking by and see a broken down car by the side of the road, and they look like they might need help.

I tend to ask if assistance is required. Of course if it's someone holding an axe dripping in blood with a crazed expression in their eyes, I may not.

I've seen a photo of Yenners and there is no way I would stop for someone with such a demented and manic expression on their face, just asking for trouble if you ask me.

Of course if it was a fair maiden I would be more inclined to unclip.

Yes I would.

Last night however, as I was putting my chain back together, several people went past without stopping or asking if everything was OK.
Most were pobs, but two were real cyclists.
