Those sorts of prices are a bit silly. As a teenager I used to go to the Twisted Wheel allnighters and some of the records went for a hundred quid which seemed a huge amount back in the day, but £10k Too much................just off to check my box of Northern singles

No i wouldnt pay £10,000 for a single, but i wouldnt pay £30,000,000 for a Monet either.
I guess the buyer knows the market value and it is unlikely to lose its value over time.

If the money wasn't an issue & it was something I wanted badly enough, yeah, £10k single, £1M guitar, no problem, wouldn't blink.

As it is I think around £70 or £80 is the highest I have paid (for a modern box set) not a single.
