Is Hughie Green still hosting it?

So, the script undoubtedly written 4 months ago is going to plan.....

The baby-faced lad with the silly hair who can't sing but they're trying to make look 'ard has been thrown off for nothing in particular. Keeps him looking 'ard (they think) as it adds to his bad-boy image and they've still got plans for his career.

The announcement is made that the public can vote back their favourite evictee from a deliberately limited list of choices.

One of those choices is a good-looking soldier.

It's all happening around Remembrance Sunday.

Me being cynical, or disgusting low-stooping of a company well-practiced in emotionally dragging money out of sofa-world's pockets?

I used to watch X Factor but all the bleating, crocodile tears and sickly gooeyness from the contestants ruined it for me.

It is a bit of a circus and Mr Cowell will be thinking that all this publicity will be lining his pockets.
BUT.. I don't think this was all planned. Did they plan for Fwankie to behave like he has? I don't think so.
I don't think he's blown a career because there was never one there anyway .. Although will probably be hosting a tripe channel 5 show shortly

The soldier was rubbish I don't think he'll be back in

There you go .. a 44 year old who's up with X factor. Sad eh? I watch because its 1 thing we do with the kids - honest!

Their selling point for Frankie is the bad boy image they're trying to create. As such, it's far better for him to be thrown off rather than being voted off because he's got an incredibly weak voice. And this gives the opportunity for more money-grabbing voting.

True.. I just don't think they manufactured it 4 months ago.

How do you know if you've never watched it?

Well, I watched it once, for all of about ten minutes, and it seemed to revolve around some dolled-up inarticulate bimbo who had a full-blown hissy fit on public television. I switched it off ...

Ok, maybe not 4 months. But I'm sure they've got a list of contingency plans and their great enjoyment is working the audience's hands into their pockets.

You could almost see them setting themselves challenges, Trading Places style.

Yeah I agree MS I have to suspend thoughts of the commercial side and just watch it with the family at their level. It can be ok like that..and I actually really like the girl Janet's voice!

Well yeah. One of the defining criteria for "star quality", IMO, is that when you're standing in front of the panel of self-important "industry" figures judging some pissy little TV talent show and they say "we don't think you have the star quality necessary to succeed", you respond by saying "**** you all, you worthless tosser *****", not by standing there simpering while nodding and twiddling your hair
