Ok they are cheap for a reason, basicly build quality is poor. Thus quick question anyone replaced the connectors on these things. The connector from the head unit is dissed right at the plug and is going to need replaced. Managed to rescue the battery pack last winter but now this . Might just have to get out my ever reliable Cateye Triple shot at this rate.

Get a MS splitter cable and DIY the connections if not the same. Easy, use electrical tape and some shrink wrap outer (and a hot hair dryer) sorted.

Done this to do a battery conversion. The MS cables do go too, but take longer. The splitter is about £3 and an easy diy (no solder - just twist, electrical tape and shrink wrap)

well got a DC power connector 2.5mm from Maplin and repaired connection, however I have now subsequently found that the battery pack has now refused to start charging and after closer examination it would appear the little protection board is fried! When you see how it has been put together its no surprise how its shorted! New battery pack ordered from the UK, with a longer guarantee as well!
