MS fail!

Probably unconnected, but my laptop froze half way through installing that last bunch of XP updates - I had to unplug it and let the battery run flat before I could restart it (as it has no 'soft' restart switch).

The messed up sister in law's PC, rebuilt today, just did 63 updates and rebooted fine.......... it's been chugging all day on and off.

I know a system restore wouldn't help if it did crash, but I've had the odd update that would mess stuff up, so always do it just in case.

Just press and hold the power button for five seconds and it'll switch off.
