Those lovely people at shimano decided to sell a 300 quid set of cranks without the tool necessary to remove them. I've tried daddying them around but stopped before I chewed then up.
I didnt pay 300 squid for them of course but I still baulk at shelling out 30 on a very specific tool without at least asking for a freebie.
I thought they were like slot in, slot out on the new stuff... you just pull the crank out (ps - have you a little plastic doobry to undoo the little plastic nut on the non drive side crank to slot the bits out ?
I've polished 'em. They look smart. When they're fitted proper i'll put a pic up. Fattest profile on the bike.
There's a 4-notch compression ring that tightens when you fit the LH crank-that's your doobry. Not like the SLX ones on the MTB- thats a different and much simpler doobry altogether.
