got dragged to a local yard sale today but not all bad as i picked up this Atala frame only down side its a touch too big, so not sure what to do with it
its a 60cm frameVery nice indeed bit of Italian
What size is it ?
a stronglite crank with a 49 tooth ringNice. Is that a TA chain set? Ring looks a bit worn but i see Spa are TA specialists. You can easily add a second ring if you wish.
according to the serial number its 1987 and it does have the bosses for front and rear derailorsOhh nice find. Atala were a very old Italian brand who fell on hard times in the 1980s.
A very rough guess based on non- recessed brake fittings and what looks Like a 5 speed freewheel would be a pre-1978 frame , possibly Columbus SL?
Thats going to be a nice project, l lay odds that it has "panto'd" fork crowns .got dragged to a local yard sale today but not all bad as i picked up this Atala frame only down side its a touch too big, so not sure what to do with it
