Be careful if you decide to install Norton anti-virus software. I installed Norton 360 a fortnight ago and it wouldn't contact Norton for Live Updates. I got through to their teckies who took remote control of my PC. Two hours later that had pretty much b#ggered it. A day later they called to fix the problem, took remote control .....and completely trashed the machine. No access to Windows, and no way to boot up in Safe Mode.

Back on topic, I quite like Dell computers, you just need to be prepared to stand down the hard sell of the extra guff they want to get you to buy, and work out what you actually need beforehand.
The debate over thick and thin clients has been going on for year and will probably continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
